Being 10 years in the recruitment industry, I have seen how recruitment has evolved from the traditional cold calling, job posting and waiting for the right candidate to drop from the sky, to being proactively reaching out to best performing passive candidates, leverage on social media and working on employer branding to attract the best talents for the company. All these evolutions involved the use of data to make better decisions that impact the candidate funnel and pipeline.
That’s what propel me to want to know more about data, how to go about analyzing and reading the data, and in turn it got me fascinated with what I can do with data -- How I can turn these power information and insights to help with other HR areas than just talent acquisition. With my newly acquired skills in Data Science, I am excited to put my skills and domain knowledge into use.
